Jason Gatling is a Texas native, that played junior tennis in the state. He made it into 16's supers before switching to play basketball. In 2014, he had a small role in coaching/hitting partner role in college. At Lamar University, in 2016, he got his Stroke Production Certification. In 2017, he took on the role as head coach at a private school, leading then to a undefeated season.

Jason has been coaching players on the Challenger, Futures, and ITF circuits, and now has settled in Houston at Lost Forest Tennis Club where he develops kids and adults of all ages and abilities to excel.

Coach David is from Boise, Idaho. He holds a Master’s in Music (opera/jazz) and is addicted to tennis. David’s background in music brings a unique approach to tennis and performance. Through discipline, perseverance, and repetition, David believes that anyone can overcome any challenges and reach their goals. The first step is to show up. The most important step is to have fun! He is a lifelong student and combines many methodologies to cater to each student. David has coached for high school teams and works with students of varying levels and ages. He currently leads the Beginner Red Ball class at Lost Forest and works with students of different skill levels and ages.

Jason Abante is from Beaumont, Texas and is a tennis professional at Lost Forest Tennis Club. He brings over a decade of teaching experience to Lost Forest. He is heavily involved in the club’s juniors program, more specifically, in Orange-ball player development. He is also involved in our adult beginner’s drills and teaches private lessons to all ages and skill levels.  He has exemplary personal skills that allow him to effectively communicate modern stroke technique and on-court strategies for efficient and productive lessons. He is also an open-level ball striker who can take lesson settings to higher levels with practice matches or hitting workouts. Most importantly, he is an outgoing individual who truly enjoys forming relationships with his clients and keeping a fun and easy-going environment, all while still maintaining each client’s desired level of intensity. Chris Morehouse is a USPTA Elite pro who was #1 singles and captain in college. He has been an instructor since `975 and played Satellite tour pro events. He moved to Texas in 2023 after retiring from full time coaching. He was the assistant head pro at the Houstonian and Head Coach of the Kinkaid Varsity Boys Team.

A competitive tennis player for over 46 years with 17 years of teaching experience as a tennis pro at various clubs in Houston. Now teaching pickleball part-time at Lost Forest. Experienced in working with different ages and ability levels including children. Competitive pickleball player for the last 6 years, with 27 medals including a gold medal finish in 2021 at the Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships in Indian Wells, California. Certified as an AAU professional pickleball instructor in October 2022.
